Kite Assessment

At Holly Lodge, we use the Kite Assessment System. This system takes the whole child into account including  attendance, behaviour, rewards and academic progress.

Please view an example of the reading, writing and maths  objectives from the National Curriculum for each year group. You will notice that these sheets are titled with a stage.  The stage correlates to the year group. E.g. stage 1 – Year 1. By the end of the year, most children will be "securing" which is the age-related expectation.

These form part of the report to parents at three points in the year.  If you were unable to attend the parent presentation evening which explained the ./x (dot,line,cross) system used to track progress, please see the attached powerpoint and download the printable quick guide to the system.
