Home Learning Schedule:

Subject Handed Out Due In
Spellings Thursday Tuesday
Maths Thursday Tuesday
Reading - Thursday

Spelling Home Learning will be different based on abilities that are shown in class. Please help your child to learn these spellings by focusing on any that your child particularly struggles with and we suggest that on at least one occasion your child is read the words and completes their spellings as a test. We are happy to suggest different ways to practice with your child if you are unsure.

Maths Home Learning will either be based on previous learning from class or times tables. Sometimes, we will set Times Table Rock Star (TTRS) activities. If you feel your child struggles with the time limits set on TTRS you are welcome to request a paper copy in advance. Sometimes, there may be two difficulty options to choose from, however your child only need to complete the one that challenges them.

Reading Home Learning is at least 5 reads at home each week. This can be reading to an adult or on their own. We ask that each read is marked with a date, page number and short comment about what they have read or any difficulties, then initialed by an adult.

Spelling and Maths homework will both be set and need submitting on Seesaw. Please let us know is you have any difficulties with this so that we can support you. Spelling sheets will be provided for all children so that they can practice the letter formations. For Maths, paper copies will only be provided for those who let us know that they can’t access them online.

You should bring the following equipment into school every day:
• a water bottle (named)
• a reading book (library book/ book from home - children read every day at school)

Our PE day is Thursday. Please ensure that PE kit is kept in school and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor lessons. We will send it home with children each half term so that it can be washed.
